Our Fleet

NTCL owns and maintains a fleet of 12 mainline tugs and over 90 dual purpose barges. It also owns two Arctic Class 2 supply tugs which are proven performers in northern and Arctic waters and are available for charter off the Atlantic coast and in the North Sea. Tugs and barges are available for charter work throughout the Mackenzie River and Western Arctic.

A number of specialized and smaller barges are also available, such as 24 man camp barges, spud barges, thrusters and lightering craft.

To effect any large volume fuel supply and delivery, NTCL also offers access to a pool of international clean fuel tankers which are capable of delivering anywherre in the Arctic. The company's direct fuel procurement agreements, supplement tanker transport, as well as all tug and barge services.

NTCL operates a modern fleet of cargo handling equipment, with forklifts ranging in capacity from 2 to 40 tons, and mobile and crawler cranes. A fleet of 1000 - 20 foot ISO containers are utilized to reduce cargo handling and improve efficiency.
