Rates for the Kivalliq have been set at $230.32 per tonne - as calculated under the GN Contract.

NTCL is asking customers to do the following:

1) Customers must reserve barge space for their sealift order before the cargo acceptance dates. NTCL needs advance information about the cargo expected at the loading terminal Churchill.

Please call the NTCL Customer Service Desk 1-866-935-6825 and use the Cargo Booking Form found below.

2) Customers must pay in advance for their full cargo shipping costs when they reserve their cargo space unless they have an established cr. Cargo will not be loaded until payment is received. Customers can pay by credit card or by CASH LINK at the Northern Store.

3) All customers ship cargo at their OWN RISK OF DAMAGE OR LOSS.

Customers must buy cargo insurance for the value of their cargo or accept the risk of damage or loss. NTCLs liability for any loss or damage incurred during handling and shipping is limited, no matter how the loss, damage or delay is caused, even if by negligence. An application for cargo insurance can be found below for coverage placed through Marsh Canada Limited.
