NTCL offers efficient, cost-effective coast to coast to coast service. Using a versatile fleet of Arctic Class II ice breaking tugs, specially-designed shallow draft Home Trade tugs and a large fleet of dry cargo and dual purpose cargo and fuel-carrying barges, NTCL delivers to 22 Northern communities.
Our newest marine service from Delta, B.C (near Vancouver). loads cargo destined for the Western Arctic onto a 12,000-ton ocean capable barge and towed by an Arctic Class II supply ship, north along the West Coast, east along the north coast of Alaska and into Canadian Arctic waters for delivery to Kitikmeot communities.
We reach Mackenzie River and Mackenzie Delta communities with our traditional tug and barge service from the Port of Hay River, NT. on the south shore of Great Slave Lake. Our supply of 1,500 containers ensures freight arrives at its destination clean and dry. From our base in Halifax, our three Arctic Class II supply vessels provide marine support services to Canada's East Coast offshore petroleum industry and to petroleum exploration projects in the Canadian and American Arctic. Our Halifax office also oversees the community and mining project re-supply services to the Kivalliq region from the Ports of Churchill, MB, Becancourt, PQ and Halifax, NS.
NTCL is a licensed wholesaler of petroleum products and can provide landed fuel pricing for industrial and exploration projects. Our support services include marine and shore-based equipment chartering and leasing, marine maintenance and repair, high pressure steel fabrication and machining, electronic sales and service, oil spill containment and clean-up and industrial parts and service.
